Since becoming a Psy.D., I have worked in hospitals and private practice, in addition to teaching, training and supervising other clinicians. In my private practice, I see people of all ages and ethnicities with a variety of presenting issues. With children and parents I work to address developmental and behavioral issues. For adults and adolescents the focus may be on achieving life's goals, gaining self-confidence, addressing life changes, or any other mental health issues.
Based on an Attachment Model, I have developed these specialties:
Previous to becoming a Psy.D., I obtained a Master's Degree in Education Administration and Supervision from Temple University in Philadelphia. These studies provided the basis for a strong role in the development of programs for young children. I am an Early Childhood Consultant with over 30 years experience as a founder and administrator of Early Childhood Programs. I have extensive experience in designing programs that optimize the development of very young children. My expertise is to develop programs that are suitable to the goals of the sponsor or agency. As a former Day Care Director, I have developed and administered programs in private and public settings that served multi-ethnic populations in urban settings - like Miami, Honolulu, Philadelphia, and Camden, New Jersey.
