Psycho-Social Services in the NICU: 

When mothers give birth and the baby is hospitalized, mother and father suffer significant emotional stress.  If left untreated, the stress will likely have long-term consequences.  An inclusive multi-level program has been designed to address family needs while in the hospital, with the assistance of the medical and nursing team.

• Psycho-Social Consults and Reports to Neonatologist
• Assessment of Neurodevelopment of Newborns

Psycho-Social Services at Home:

Psycho-social services for parents are offered when leaving the hospital.  When arriving home, babies will have unexpected or irritable behavioral responses after a long stay in the NICU.
